COWBOY LEE’S COWBOY CAMPS
What Others Have Said!“I hope and pray that your other two cowboy camps are as successful as the one in Apollo was. I will be looking into the possibility of my boys working at a stable so they can be around horses before camp next year.” (M.A., PA) “Thanks for the update on BDTLB Cowboy Camps. I think this is a great ministry. What a chance to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and the spiritual life in a “live” setting. May the Lord continue to give you and BDTLB the strength and finances to carry on this ministry.” (B.A., IN)
“Thanks so much for the ministry and impact you and your “gang” had here for our cowboy camp -- we are still seeing the results and one of those is____________! She has really come out of her shell and is letting the Lord shine thru her!” (T.W., SD)
“We will always remember the wonderful week with you and pray that you might come again next year.... “__________ was talking to someone not too long ago and they said something to the effect -- ‘Oh yea, my granddaughter would like to come to something like that.’” (L.F., SD)
“Thank you for the wonderful report and beautiful photos from the Cowboy Camp. What an oasis in God’s grace for all involved! I hope to visit one day as the Lord directs, and pray for continued blessings in your ministry and these kids’ faith and growth in Christ.” (J.C., AK)
“I’m enjoying your cowboy camp letters and I hope some of my grandchildren will one day get to attend camp.” (L.M., AL)
“I just wanted to take time to express my gratitude to everyone who made the Cowboy Adventure Camps a wonderful and blessed time for us. What great memories we have, and what great stories we have been able to share with our church family back here, in Wisconsin. I am so thankful for all the young folks who were able to gain confidence as they learned the cowboy skills and horsemanship. It was an equally enjoyable experience to hear all the great preaching and musical presentations at the nightly Cowboy Church Services. Again, thanks to all of you for a wonderful time of fellowship in service to our Lord Jesus Christ. What a fantastic way to spend summer vacation.” (L.G., WI) “Thank you and God Bless you for what you are doing for our children. Especially thank you for letting __________get involved with Cowboy Camp even though we could not pay for it. She had a wonderful time and I am thankful for that. It truly was by the grace of God that we showed up at Victory Stables that particular Sunday to attend worship and I am so glad we did. Thanks to all of your cowboys and cowgirls for taking care of my most precious daughter. Take Care, thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you all.” (L.A., PA)
“Cowboy Lee, Just wanted to tell you that ___________from the Missouri cowboy camp talked to me one day. He expressed how the messages and devotionals have really convicted him to live for the Lord. He is thinking, someday after graduation, of taking courses in Bible studies. I directed him to St. Louis Theological Seminary (He is from St. Louis). I just wanted to let you know so that we can all keep him in our prayers. I pray the world doesn’t hinder him from his continued growth in the Lord. Personally, it will always be a week that I will remember.” (MO)
“_________ had asked me quite a few times if he was going to heaven. I discussed it with him several times. However, after raising his hand that Monday night at camp, I pulled him aside. The only way he was not going to accept the Lord that night was if I talked him out of it. After he prayed to God and said Amen, the smile that covered his face was a picture that I will never forget. I still get tears thinking about it. Thank you for letting the Lord use you in the way that He sees fit. The ministry is continually in my prayers as the Gospel of the Grace of God goes out.” (M.R., WI)
“PRAISE GOD! It looks like everyone had a great time. God is so good to us. I can’t wait for Sunday to hear what ________ and _________ will tell us about their experiences from the camp. I know __________ Mom said he was a different kid when he came back last year from cowboy camp (praise God) and I’m sure ___________ will be too. I will continue to pray for you and Darlene as you travel and for your Cowboy/Cowgirl Camps. Happy Trails, and God bless you “two” for all you are doing for the Lord!” (L.M., MI)
“We have been following your e-mail reports about the Cowboy camps. This really sounds like a great thing you have going. I can just imagine the excitement there. We are in continuing prayer for all this. We read your last report to the church last Sunday, and everyone loved it.” (M.F., IA)
“Lee, thanks for the reports about the cowboy camps. I am so glad to hear of the great things that have been happening thru your cowboy camps. I have been praying for the camps and I hope to be a part of them again next year. I would love to have a digital CD of the camp pictures. I thank God for you and Darlene’s and Joel and Susan’s dedication and commitment to these camps.” (P.T., MI)
“Dear Lee, I just wanted to write you and tell you how grateful I am that __________ was able to attend your camp in Pennsylvania last week. She has been non-stop talk since we picked her up last Saturday! She was truly blessed. I would be very much interested in that CD with pictures of the show-de-o. I have always known about your camps but never really thought about them because they were in other states so I am so grateful to __________ for “inviting” _________ to go along with __________ and __________. It truly was an adventure _________ will remember for years to come! Thanks again, Lee and staff! (P.D., MI)
“Dear Lee, what a great experience you all are providing for those young cowboys and cowgirls! I, too, would have thought I was dreaming if something like your camp had been around when I was a little wanna-be cowgirl. Praise the Lord for your work with these kids. Having learned to ride when I was little (a favorite aunt, uncle and cousins had horses), I can really see the applications of learning to break a green horse and learning to grow in the Lord. Thanks for your frequent updates. We REALLY enjoy them and keep you on our prayer list daily.” (B.V., VA)
“Yes, I learned that you should preach the gospel even if you lose all your friends.” (One of the cowboys - Wisconsin) “My family has never really gone to church a lot or anything. But after going to cowboy camp and learning more about it all. It makes me want to learn more and understand more about Jesus Christ. Thank you so much for having this camp! It was a lot of fun and I will be back next year.” (One of the cowgirls - Missouri)
“I just wanted to thank everyone for everything and helping me to get to know the Lord better.” (One of the cowboys - Texas)
"Thank You" for having this camp. My son has not been more excited over horses and God. We spent a good portion of our drive back to Texas talking about what he did there, what God means to him, and how much he'd like to attend again next year." (Another Cowboy from Texas)
Thinking of you and praying for you! May God give you the desires of your heart!
